"BEWARE_ATLANTIC CITY MIDAS-THIEVES-LIARS"
took my car for alignment after having front end work done at the end of january.car was driving fine for almost 3 months,just wanted to have alignment checked before i got new tires. Their mechanic purposely messed with my car and made it unsafe to drive and told me i needed lower control arm to fix problem. took my car to a reputable service center,they did my alignment and i asked the mechanic did i need any other parts replaced and he said no,nothing.

MIDAS - 3400 ORANGE AVE ORLANDO, FL

COMPLAINT!
VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED. NEW BATTERY WAS PURCHASED THE DAY BEFORE VEHICLE WAS DROPPED ON 04/06/23. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN DRIVEN EVERY DAY UNTIL 04/06, BECAUSE CAR WOULD NOT HOLD CHARGE DUE TO BAD ALTERNATOR.
JIMMY (STORE MANAGER) CALLS AND STATES THAT I HAVE A "COOLANT LEAK" AND THAT THE HVAC INLET HOSE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND QUOTED $920. I DECLINED THE SERVICE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO COOLANT LEAK BEFORE TAKING THE TRUCK TO MIDAS.
I PICKED UP THE TRUCK ON SATURDAY 04/08. I WAS ADVISED ON FRIDAY (04/07/23) THAT THE TRUCK WAS REPAIRED (ALTERNATOR) AND WAS READY FOR PICK UP, HOWEVER WHEN I ARRIVED ON SATURDAY TO PICK UP, I WAITED OVER (15) MINS FOR THE TRUCK TO BE DRIVEN OUT THE BAY. I WENT BACK INSIDE AND ASKED IF THEY WERE GOING TO PULL THE TRUCK OUT AND HE SAID "YES". I WALKED BACK OUTSIDE AND MOVED CLOSER TO THE BAY BECAUSE THE HOOD WAS STILL UP, BUT YET THE TRUCK WAS SUPPOSED TO BE READY FOR PICK UP. THE MECHANIC ATTEMPTED TO START CAR, WOULD NOT START. MECHANIC PLUGS UP TO CHARGER TO CHARGE BATTERY. I RETURN INSIDE AND ASK WHY THE BATTERY WAS DEAD, JIMMY SHRUGS AND STATES "MAYBE THEY LEFT THE LIGHT ON OR SOMETHING". I RETURN BACK OUTSIDE, ANOTHER 15 MINS HAVE PASSED AND THE TRUCK IS STARTED. AS IT IS DRIVEN OUT THE BAY AND PARKED, I NOTICED FLUID POURING FROM UNDERNEATH. I ASKED ABOUT IT, THE MECHANIC (WITH PONYTAIL AND GLASSES) STATES THAT HE WAS NOT WORKING YESTERDAY AND ADVISES ME TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER. I RETURNED BACK INSIDE TO QUESTION JIMMY AND HE SAYS "I TOLD YOU THERE WAS A COOLANT LEAK" AND I REPLIED ABSOLUTELY NOT! THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN DAILY AND I PERSONALLY CHECKED THE COOLANT WEEKS PRIOR. JIMMY WAS NOT HELPFUL AND VERY RUDE. I DROVE THE CAR THREE BLOCKS AWAY AND LIFTED HOOD AND NOTICED THE INLET HOSE WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN! I CALLED JIMMY AND STATED THAT THEY BROKE THE COMPONENT AND THAT IS WHY THE COOLANT IS "POURING, NOT LEAKING". JIMMY WAS EXTREMELY RUDE, STATED THAT HE WAS NOT REPAIRING IT "FOR FREE" (WHICH I NEVER STATED THAT) AND LATER STATED THAT HE WAS DONE "ENTERTAINING ME" AND DISCONNECTED THE CALL. THE TRUCK HAS SINCE BEEN TAKEN TO A TRUSTED MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE HOSE ASSEMBLY WAS BROKEN AND LIKELY BROKEN WHEN THEY REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. IN ADDITION TO THE HOSE ASSEMBLY BEING BROKEN, DUE TO THE COOLANT SPEWING FROM THE COOLING SYSTEM, COOLANT HAS GOTTEN INSIDE THE MOTOR AND REQUIRES ALL FOUR CYLINDERS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE TO HAVE THE SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION COILS REPLACED. JIMMY REFUSED TO ACCEPT OWNERSHIP OF THEIR ERROR AND MADE NO INTENTIONS TO MAKE IT RIGHT, INSTEAD HE GOUGED THE PRICE OF REPAIRS. I HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN MY VEHICLES TO THIS LOCATION, BUT THEY ARE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP AND THE WORSE POSSIBLE BUSINESS PEOPLE IN BUSINESS THAT I HAVE DEALT WITH. HIGHLY DISSASTISFIED WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORK ETHIC. I WOULD LIKE A RESOLUTION TO THIS AND OWNERSHIP OF FAULT CAUSED ON BEHALF OF THIS NEGLIGENCE.

My experience was great because on my first call I was greeted with the professionalism that was more than excellent. Not just the person that answered the phone but it seems that all the personnel and service people had the same attitude. They were polite and pleasant to talk to. Lonnie, Marjorie, Ryan and Andre were eager to assist me and assured me that they would take care of me. Such pleasantries are rare these days. I love the way they treat their customers. Keep it up Mida.

"My wife just took her car to the 1960…"
My wife just took her car to the 1960 east location and got the worst experience ever she only needed brake pads for the rear and they said they couldn't do it because she needed new drums and refused to do the brake work my wife called me and told me and I asked to speak to the attendant and he refused to talk with me...please if anyone is reading this contact the store and maybe corporate because they should be fired

Invoice exceeded verbal estimates, over 100% markup on parts and high labor charges. Ironically, told this, this, and this could go wrong. Beware of more parts replaced equals more labor charges. No longer a regular customer.

"Just booking a Midas oil change using…"
Just booking a Midas oil change using their advertised coupon for $ 69.99 plus disposal charge for full synthetic oil. BUYER BEWARE ! The actual cost was going to be $ 120 to $ 130 ( plus Tax ? ) for a small 2022 Hyundai. Needless to say I am never going to a Midas dealership......almost a 100 % bait and switch.

Highly recommend if you had service done incorrectly at Midas at 506 Golf Rd ,Schuamburg,Illinios and they refused to return your money take them to court and also file claim with Illinios Attorney General,this place is terrible.

"Midas put a used wheel bearing on my vehicle"
On December 3rd of 2022, I went to the Midas location in Mundelein, IL. The technician told me we need a wheel bearing on the front driver's side. The repair was done and we attempted to leave. As we pulled out of the lot, the vehicle began making a screaming noise. We pulled right back in and he made an adjustment to the vehicle and also stated it could make that sound with the weather conditions we were having, which is completely FALSE! Recently, this vehicle has been making a thumping sound when applying the brakes. I didn't want to go back to Midas, I do not trust those guys over there anymore. I went to Mavis Tire in Vernon Hills, IL. There, they told me that Midas had installed a used OE wheel bearing with about 100,000 miles on it! At this point, we had put an additional 5,000 miles on it. They showed me and gave me the part to bring over to Midas. When we got there, of course they denied everything and refused to give me a refund, which was about $390.00!
Can't believe an auto shop would actually do that to customers, I will never go back to Midas and do not recommend their service for anybody's vehicle.

"HORRIBLE SERVICE AT 7137 S WESTERN, CHGO"
The store at 7137 S. Western Av., Chicago IL 60636 has deplorable customer service. I called on 3/23/23 to repair a flat tire under their road hazard warranty. I was told I had to bring the car in. I was given an appointment by the manager, Daniel, for 8:00am the next morning. I arrived 30 minutes early, per his suggestion. He arrived at 7:56am but a mechanic, Joe, didn't arrive until about 8:10. I waited another 5 minutes before coming back into the lobby to give him a few minutes to get settled. Daniel then told me Joe "was not certified to repair flat tires...wait until a certified mechanic arrives." Another 40 minutes later, a second mechanic arrived named Kannon. Ten minutes later I asked Daniel when my car would receive attention from the certified mechanic, Kannon, and was told "10 minutes." Kannon, Joe, and another man went into the parking lot, stood there talking, drinking coffee and looking at a truck in the lot. Kannon proceeded to ride a fork-lift around the lot. I asked Daniel when someone would fix my tire, he said "be patient, about 10 minutes." I finally received my car at 10:03am. Finally, the uncertified mechanic, Joe, worked on the tire with Kannon. It took over 2 hours to perform what should have been a 15 minute service. They did NOT do a courtesy check of the other tires, no apology for the inexcusably long wait, no reasonable explanation as to why the "uncertified" mechanic was suddenly tasked to completed the job. I asked Daniel for the mechanics names after the job was complete. He told me he "didn't know the name of the person he finally identified an "Kannon"...he told me he was a delivery driver and the "Joe" fixed the tire. When I asked Daniel why he would allow a "delivery driver" and an "uncertified mechanic" to work on my tire, he at first lied and told me "Joe fixed the fire." I told him I saw Kannon working on the tire and Joe was just shining a light on it," Daniel replied, "you were impatient so I had to do something."

"Groupon Not honored"
Midas sells a Groupon promising 5 quarts of synthetic blend oil at a set price. When I tried to use the Groupon they told me that they would only put full synthetic oil in the car even though the car manufacturer states it is not required. There is nothing on the coupon that states they will not honor the manufacturer recommendations and only provide certain types of oil.

"dont leave anything with them"
Leave them the car for MOT , they totally break my front lip into two pieces (not useable anymore ) and when the worker came to me to give me they keys said sorry you didnt mention is too low and hit our ramp. Maybe he not good with vision because is quite visible car is low. Don’t recommend to leave cars with this peoples probably they drove into ramp with more speed. Bad experience with them. Not even been offered to be fixed ( or cover at-least half costs of £260 lip )

"Although this repair was done back in…"
Although this repair was done back in 2020, it's the 3rd time Midas replaced my fuel pump & hose Assy. . in 3 years. All due to fuel leak. So major, it's undriveable. I put my Trust in what i thought was people who care. It's also unfortunate that Midas Headquarters don't care what franchise owners do. What happened to Quaility Work? Oh yeah, i did make a complaint, was offered 10% off bill
